Aus der Hand

The initial idea for the 'Aus der Hand' project was born in autumn 2022. About six months later, after countless test pieces and many hours of experimentation, the first results of our efforts were ready. Two ancient crafts, brought together. The combination of calligraphy and ceramics provides a foundation for numerous discussions and suggestions on how to reinterpret and further develop traditional fields of art and design. The outcome is a series of large-format vessels and a variety of smaller cups. Several stages were involved in the production of the vessels. First, the ceramics are handcrafted. Next, they are adorned with calligraphy, partially glazed, and then fired. Throughout the project, the process is continuously refined and optimized. Each piece of ceramic is unique.
